Figure of a fiddler, hard-paste porcelain. He is seated cross-legged on a cushion placed over a scrolled chair in the form of crossed S's, his left elbow resting on his music-book which is supported on a stand in the form of a winged cherub's head on a scroll-footed pedestal, all on a gilt-fringed circular red carpet. He is wearing a full-sleeved white blouse, black breeches and white stockings, one of which is slipping down; his hat and one of his shoes lie on the floor.
