Stand for a food-warmer in hard-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Cylindrical form, and round the top is a moulded rim with a row of floral sprigs alternating in red and gold below a gilt border. Round the sides are a pair of fluted shell handles and a pair of vents. Below one of the vents is a large aperture for the insertion of a spirit lamp. Round the lower are birds on branches, baskets of fruit, gardening implements and a pierrot's mask among rococo scrollwork.
