Cup and saucer of hard-paste porcelain. Conical cup with moulded reeded and ribbon-wound handle. Deep saucer with straight sides. Cup and saucer both with two bands moulded reeding. Middle of the cup and the saucer rim are covered with purple and gold rosette-scale ornament with reserves framed by coloured rocaille scrolls containing exotic birds painted in Sèvres style. On saucer centre are birds framed by a band of engraved gilt flowers and foliage, with similar bands at top and bottom of the cup.
