Teapot with cover of hard-paste porcelain. Squat shape, loop handle, strongly curved spout spring from a moulded grotesque mask. Domed cover with top-shaped knobs. Silver gilt mounts. Painted in enamel colours with two Höroldt chinoiseries framed with gilt scrolls, lustre panels and feathery foliage in two tones of iron-red. Handle and spout painted with Indian flowers and insects. Band of gold lace at neck.
