Object history | These garden seats were on display in the new Ceramics Gallery at the South Kensington Museum (V&A) from c.1876 when they appear in a drawing (V&A 8089B) and engraving of the gallery by John Watkins. Both seats were displayed in Gallery 120 in the Museum's British Galleries until 1999 when the galleries were redeveloped. See the attached image (asset code 2014HG1393). |
