A cabinet, originally forming the base of a clock with a musical mechanism. The cabinet is rectangular, with outset plinth, frieze and cornice. The sides are decorated with panels in imitation of hardstone and set with pierced, gilt-brass mounts, that on the front including a central lyre, and others with musical connotations. On the front, the central panel is flanked by gilt-bronze caryatid figures in full relief, standing on outset plinths and supporting outset sections of the frieze.

A cabinet, originally forming the base of a clock with a musical mechanism. The cabinet is rectangular, with outset plinth, frieze and cornice.
