This silver medal commemorates Queen Josephine of Norway and Sweden (1807-1876)and was made by Emil Weigand in Germany in 1876. Josephine [Joséphine of Leuchtenberg (Joséphine Maximilienne Eugénie Napoléone)] was the Queen consort of King Oscar I of Sweden and Norway. Queen Josefina was regarded a politically active consort.
