Brief description
Cast iron fire surround, cast by the Coalbrookdale Company, Shropshire from a design in the style of Alfred Stevens (1817-1875) or possibly by James Gamble, England, ca.1850.
Physical description
The lintel is decorated with balusters and foliage in an alternating repeat pattern. The jambs are decorated with a baluster at the top and bottom and in-between is foliage and a bird, which is different on either side.
