Writing case in mahogany, with top veneered in satinwood and decorated with a geometrical pattern of delicate inlaid bands. The sides and fitting are ornamented with similar inlay. It is divided inside into five compartments, three of which have stain wood veneered covers, two being hinged; the lid is fitted with a looking glass, protected by a hinged cover, which is upholstered with pink satin. The box is fitted outside with a lock plate pierced with scrolls, a ring drop handle with rosette plate and two fastenings of silver, and inside with several similar handles and fastenings, a lock plate, and hinges of the same metal.
