Mirror frame of carved pearwood. The oval back is carved with three Bacchanalian children, one playing a lute and another holding a cup; round the above is a border of scrolling leaves. The handle is decorated on both sides with similar designs of 'money' ornament and symmetrically arranged floral scrolls.

Object history | This mirror back was exhibited at the Worshipful Company of Carperters' exhibition in 1901. It was purchased by the V&A in the same year for £5 (RP 17387/1901). |
