Cupboard door carved with a Renaissance style woman’s bust

Description:
Cupboard door with a keyhole and the remnants of two(?) generating hinge fixings along the vertical edge top and bottom. Carved in medium relief with the profile bust of a young woman facing right in early sixteenth century dress (a smock and headdress) set within a leafy wreath. Surrounded by scrolling stylised leaves. In front of her mouth are rings, possibly the remains of a flower. The edges and back are undecorated. Behind the keyhole is the shadow and fixings for a lock. Various remnants of nails and a drilled hole above the keyhole.

Construction:
Door consists of two boards butt-joined with dowel fixings (one partially revealed by carving) apparently with some nail fixings across the joint. Carved in the solid.
