Italian. About 1560. H. 3 ft. 6 in., W. 1 ft. 7½ in. Bought (Soulages Coll.), 20l. The arms are composed of two coats impaled. The dexter shield : partly per fess, in chief a chalice ; those in the sinister coat are the column of the great Colonna family of Rome, which formed alliances in all the states of Italy.”
