Back of a stall or chair of honour, of carved walnut. Period of Francois I. Carved with boys, horses' heads, satyrs and masks amid floral scrollwork symmetrically arranged about a central stem, which is futher enriched with vases. The stems of the scrollwork are exceedingly delicate.
