Linen lining for a chair seat. Brown and white check in an open tabby weave. There is a narrow and closely woven cord selvedge at one side and an uneven edge around a single cord at the other, and with loops of the brown and white weft from one section to another. The loom width is 21 inches (53 cms), and another piece of the same material is attached at the second selvedge, together with a strip of blue silk brocaded in yellow and pink.
