Weft: cotton: description S spun 2 ply. Satin and velvet warp order 3-1-3. Velvet structure, red and green. Pile counts, warps 9. along weft 15. Binding weft threads: silk, super skinny white filament no twist. Brocade structure: wholly brocaded? whole 4/1 twill. Shots between pile 2. Metal & twist: gilt or silver (?) Z . Tightness of wrap: loosely. Silk filament slight S twist for yellow; no twist for ivory. Selvedges dimensions not taken. Weft faced exposing more cotton; a tabby weave. |
