Sarafan made of red cotton machine-printed with a design of undulating trails of feather fronded flowers in yellow, green and pale blue. Hip length with the back fitted but with flaring skirts pleated at the centre back and at the side seams. The front hangs straight flaring slightly from the neck to hem. It has a low round neck and is sleeveless. The front fastens with two tabs fastenings to bright green buttons. There is a scalloped tab at the hip to simulate a pocket. Bound with black velvet and edged with blue rick rack braid. Lined with brown sateen.
