Front left side of a woman’s waistcoat of fine bleached linen, backed with a coarser linen. It has a high ‘V’ and a deep, curved skirt below the waist. It is backstitched with white silk floss in a diamond pattern and embroidered in chain, satin and stem stitch with coloured silk floss in a pattern of scrolling stems with small flowers and leaves.
