Coat from men's court suit. Brown wool embroidered with coloured silks in a design of stylised sprays of roses intersected with leaves. The latter is composed of one side of applied net and the other half in satin stitch. There are eight on the front, three on each cuff, two either side of back-waist, two halfway down the coat tails, two at each end of the coat tails and three under each pocket-flap. Each button is embroidered with a red rosebud or a blue flower. It is lined with cream silk satin patched with twentieth-century cotton. The sleeves are lined with original cotton.
