Pocket book cover embroidered on the inside with human hair. The edges are bound with green leather tooled with gold. There are two green leather tabs on each cover, and on each is a panel of beadwork on canvas. On one side, the ground of white beads are arranged singly as spots. A border of multi-coloured flowers with a tulip in each corner. On the other side, there is a groundwork of white beads with a repeating pattern of gold beads arranged in fours in tiny crosses. Gold bead scalloped floral border and gold bead tulip in each corner. Inside are two pockets with gussets made of paper and card covered with ivory watered silk. On each pocket is embroidered a design in brown human hair. One side has the initials 'CF' in flowers with a floral border and sprays in three of the corners. The other side has an oval floral device in each corner and a wavy line border. Stitches used are back, satin and French knots.
