RF number is 1950/3083.

The skein was purchased by Edward Horation Long (of Howard's "Longs of Jamaica") in Dover in 1847 and given to his youngest sister Isabella (grandmother of the donor). Edward Long died young in 1851 and the donor's grandmother preserved the skein among her papers.
