Three portions for a petticoat of fustian, the warp of cotton and linen, the weft of cotton; embroidered with coloured worsteds. Among the bottom is a border of slender scrolling stems bearing carnations, tulips and other flowers.

Object history
The petticoat is not made up. Linen band at back for portion of lining. When purchased these pieces were joined together in one length (8 ft. 1 in. long).
