Chest cover woven with a pattern in looped pile on a plain ground. Looped pile on a linen ground woven in twill, and there are three shoots of white linen weft between each shoot of the pattern. The warp is arranged in pairs - one pair forming the ground and the other also binding the pile. At each end is a border of birds in black. Between each larger bird is a pair of smaller ones. Each bird has a collar in colours and the smaller birds have coloured feet. The central field is covered with lozenges in tan wool containing small dogs and birds in blue, red, yellow, green and orange. All around is a border of tan wool and blue cotton.
