Fronts, pocket flaps and sleeves of a man’s waistcoat shape, made of fine bleached linen, backed with coarser bleached linen and decorated with whitework. Large flowers and sleeves, with ‘S’ scrolls are corded and embroidered with drawn-fabric work along the fronts, around the pocket and on the pocket flaps and sleeve cuffs. Each front has a round neckline and skirts reaching to the knees. There are 4 rectangles worked at the waist of the left front for buttonholes and 2 at each cuff. The shaped pocket flaps, worked at the neckline, and the armholes have not been cut out; the linen at the sides has been cut away. The outside seam of each sleeve has been partly sewn.
