Long "figure of 8" skirt in white cotton with intricate cross cut construction. Wrap around skirt with curved hems falling from waist band at front and back. Plain weave white cotton marked up in red and black to reveal straight grain of the fabric. Stamped on back and front in red 'Charles James'. Lines of black scrim emphasise dominant features. Waist re-inforced with khaki buckram. Fastens with hooks and eyes.
