Sleeveless evening blouse of intricate cross cut construction, made in only two pieces. Slit front pleated into waistband. Fastens at waist back and on shoulders with hooks and eyes. Waist re-inforced with white buckram. White plain weave cotton marked up in black and red to reveal straight grain of the fabric. Stamped in red 'Charles James' on front and back. Lines of black scrim mark the dominant features of cut.
