Centre sections of the fronts of a woman’s waistcoat of pale turquoise silk taffeta, lined with pink silk taffeta. The shoulders, front edges and hem remain. The neckline cuts into the embroidery of coloured silks and silver-gilt filé along each front edge. On the left are 7 buttonholes outlined in silver-gilt embroidery, cut and later sewn up. On the right front are 7 uncut buttonhole outlines in silver-gilt. The front hems have been lengthened by piecing. The 2 hooks and eyes at the top centre front are later additions.
