Chair back panel of embroidered canvas with coloured wools in cross stitch and beads. The main feature of the design is a scrolling horse-shoe shaped frame worked in brown and buff coloured beads with a beaded lattice-work at the bottom, joining the two lower scrolls. Around this are trailing garlands of brightly coloured flowers and leaves. In the centre are a bunch of three large flowers in beads. Surrounding these are large leaves and two sprays of smaller flowers which hang down the inside the horse-shoe frame. The background is worked in black.
