Object history | Registered File number 1971/876. Part of a set of chair covers T.114 to 118C-1986 for five chairs. The original chairs were on loan to the Ministry of Works and were in use in the Buenos Aires Embassy from 1946. The chairs (W.164 to E-1919) were stated by Peter Thornton (Keeper of Woodwork, 1960s) to be a 19th century copy in the Louis XVI style. |
