Pair of circular embroidered dressing table pot holders. Each has a base covered underneath with purple satin decorated with black, mauve and yellow stripes. The inside of each base is decorated by canvas embroidered with coloured wools and silks in tent stitch. The edges of both pot holders are covered inside with green, pink and white tartan ribbon and outside with canvas embroidered with roses and blue scrolls on a buff coloured ground.
The junction of the bases and sides is trimmed with two lines of green, black and red silk cord. The upper edge of the pot holders is finished off with a close packed fringe of multi-coloured wools.
