Table cloth of green silk embroidered in green silk. The ground is woven from a bright green floss silk warp and dull green tussah silk weft giving a 'watered' or 'shot' effect. The edges of the cloth are pulled into a fancy drawn hem 1 inch (2.5 cms) in from the outside edge. The decorative embroidered pattern starts in the bottom left hand corner and shows a fan of highly stylised prongs with circular heads of abstract design. The embroidery is worked in green silk in satin with areas highlighted in Japanese gold thread. On the left hand side is a monogram, a devise used by the Century Guild between 1882 and 1888.
