Object history | Object numbers T.118-1934 to T.121-1934 purchased together for £50 from Maurice Nahman. Further fragments from this textile are today in the National Museum of Scotland (A.1934.482) and the Danish Museum of Art and Design (A19/1934). These two fragments were offered to the V&A alongside the pieces it chose, but these two museums were suggested as alternative homes (see Nominal File for F.R. Bryan, paper MA/1/3180/9). |
Bibliographic reference | On Maurice Nahman see I.R. Abdulfattah, "A forgotten man: Maurice Nahman, An Antiquarian-Tastemaker", pp. 105-123 in: J. Kamrin, M. Bárta, S. Ikram, M. Lehner and M.
