This arched relief in pigmented stucco, is made after Francesco di Giorgio, in Siena in the middle of the 15th century.
The relief depends from a marble relief in the former Kaiser Friedrich Museum, Berlin, of which an old reproduction in pigmented stucco exists in the same collection. The present relief is a bit higher than the marble.

She wears a light blue mantle over a gold patterned dress. The flesh parts are painted naturalistically, and the background is blue. |
