Plaquette the Emperor Vitellius, bronze Italian early 16th century.
Physical description
Plaquette in bronze, the Emperor Aulus Vitellius Germanicus. Beardless head, crowned with laurel, in profile to left. Border of arms, scroll-work and lion masks. The background grained. A pierced hole in top margin, traces of gilding.
