This bust represents King Charles II of Spain (1661-1700) and pair, the bust of King Philip IV of Spain (A.14-1963) are attibuted to Bernardo Schiaffino (1678-1725). They were probably made in Genoa, Italy, during the first quarter of the 18th century. This bust may have been made posthumously.
