This figure was probably part of a collection they purchased many years ago in the Eastern Counties. This collection had been made over many years by a firm of woodworkers and carvers, and consisted mostly of English work, although some of the figures were of Flemish or other Continental influence or origin.

Historical significance: Messrs. Acton Surgey Ltd, thought that this figure was probably part of a collection they purchased many years ago in the Eastern Counties. This collection had been made over many years by a firm of woodworkers and carvers, and consisted mostly of English work, although some of the figures were of Flemish or other Continental influence or origin.
