This bronze medal was issued by the Carnegie Corporation as award medal and is made by Paul Manship (1885-1966), in the USA in 1934. The medal hangs from a circular ring. The inscription reveals that it was awarded to Sir Percy Nunn (1870-1944), who was a distinctive educator in Science. Andrew Carnegie founded the Carnegie Corporation of New York in 1911 and envisioned it as a foundation that would “promote the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and understanding.”
