This Egypto-Roman ivory figure depicts a naked boy seated on the graund clasping a goose to him with both arms; at each side is a bunch of grapes. This figure belongs to a large group of works of this subject and bears close resemblance to a silver statuette in the British Museum found near Alexandria together with coins which prove it to have been buried in the early years of Ptolemy III. (about 240 BC)
