This medal depicting dogs standing was issued as a 'Working Dogs Prize Medal'. It is made by Adolphe Rivet in France in ca. 1900.
The medallist Rivet (b.1855) was apprenticed to Chevalier, Ponscarme and Roty. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, received an honorable mention in 1888 and a second-class medal in 1908. He also executed busts and statues.
