This steatite panel made in the 12th century Byzantine was apparently part of a large panel representing the Twelve Feasts. This panel is carved with the Naitivity and the Adoration of Margi in the upper division, and the Transfiguration in the lower part.

Steatite panel the Nativity and the Transfiguration. Byzantine 12th century.
Physical description
Steatite panel fragment carved with the Naitivity with the washing of the Child Christ and the Adoration of Magi in the upper division, and with Christ between Moses and Elijah in the lower division. The lower margin and the right hand side margin restored in coloured plaster; the lower part of the Transfiguration with the figures of the apostles missing.
