This statue representing St. Catherine was probably made in the early 16th century Flanders or Northern France. This has much been repaired: the hands, sword, book, crown, Maximinus's sceptre are entirely modern, and her cloak and dress have also been repaired in several places.

Physical description
Figure in oak, St. Catherine. The saint stands looking straight before her, with a crown on her head. In her right-hand she holds a sword, the point of which rests on the head of the Emperor Maximinus, who she tramples under-foot. In the other hand she holds a book.
