This medallion was formerly attributed to Girolamo Ticciati, who was a Florentine sculptor, architect, medallist and writer. But it is of unknown origin and it is suspected that it could even be from England from the late 19th century.

The medallion depicts an allegorical figure of Truth, represented as a naked boy.

Medallion depicts: within a niche, flanked by a branch of laurel and a lamp, is the figure of a naked boy, his left hand resting on the lower half of a column, his right holding a mirror; with his right foot he tramples on a mask. Below is the signature HT. The whole is surrounded by a beaded border. An inscription.
