This ivory academy ticket for admission was made in England in about 1868. The obverse of this ticket is inscribed 'Royal Academy. Antique School 1768.' The reverse is inscribed 'H. L. Florence, Admitted 29th May 1868.' The architect Henry Louis Florence (d. 1916) exhibited at the Royal Academy in London from 1871 to 1902 (Graves II 1970, p. 128).
