This bronze medal made by J. S. Wyon & A. B. Wyon commemorates the opening of the new City of London School. This is no. 18 of 400 medals struck.

Joseph Shepherd Wyon (1836-1873) was the eldest son of Benjamin Wyon and brother of Alfred Benjamin Wyon (1837-1884). After the death of J. S. Wyon the firm continued under the name of J. S. & A. B. Wyon.
