This bronze medal made by the New York firm Tiffany & Co in about 1919 celebrates the preparations for the War effort in the United States. Although the dates on the medal encompass all the War years, America remained neutral until 1917, and US troops did not actually join the fighting alongside the Allied Forces until April 1918.

Obv., woman dressed in overall kneeling and working in a field of cabbages. In the background infatrymen marching to right and an officer on horseback. Legend in the field. Rev., Basket of vegetables and legend. In the exergue a panel left blank for inscription and a rifle crossed with a hoe.
