Taken from departmental record: 'Lintel of a doorway, carved in the centre with a medallion, enclosing a cross pattée; on either side are long bands and leaves, symmetrically arranged.'

Object history
The paper mould from which this cast was made was presented to the museum by Gertrude Bell in 1907, as part of a group of three paper moulds of architectural details from Asia Minor.

Taken from departmental record: 'The original, of stone, forms part of a doorway of a monastery attached to a chapel at Waouleh, near the hills, known as Kara Wagh, near Konia.'
