Cover of a vase of tin-glazed earthenware painted in blue. Circular and slightly convex, with an openwork gallery rising from the centre in the form of eight dolphins, four of which support a ring with their tails. Round the edge, within a border of chevron pattern, is a row of acanthus leaves in relief with conventional flowers painted in the intervals between them. On either side are two small scroll handles spotted with blue.
