Flower holder of fan-shaped, oval in section, with a waved rim, and fitted into a stand to hold water which is pierced on four sides with trilobate openings edged with gilt scrolls. The sides of the flower holder are divided into alternate broad and narrow panels, the four broad panels being painted in colours with pastoral, hunting, town and harbour scenes, the narrow panels being gilt with formal neo-classical designs including scrolls, wreaths, cameo-heads, etc. The designs are also repeated in the panels on the stand, one of them incorporating the letter 'M' within a laurel wreath.
