The dish has two loop handles and four feet of leaf scroll pattern picked out in crimson and is decorated with moulded sprays and painted in colours, the flowers in lustre. The domed lid surmounted by a knob in the form of a pear and decorated with applied fruits and leaves. Both pieces painted with bouquets of flowers in colours.

Brief description
Tureen and cover of buff earthenware covered with a tin glaze and with enamel-painted moulded and applied decoration. Swedish, Rorstrand, 1870.
Physical description
The dish has two loop handles and four feet of leaf scroll pattern picked out in crimson and is decorated with moulded sprays and painted in colours, the flowers in lustre. The domed lid surmounted by a knob in the form of a pear and decorated with applied fruits and leaves. Both pieces painted with bouquets of flowers in colours.

Object history
Part of a group of objects (C.604-643) acquired from 'The Royal Commissioners for the 1851 Exhibition'. It was assigned 'H.M.C. Loan No.92' and in the register is a 'Form of label to be attached to objects purchased for Her Majesty's Commissioners'.
On the label: Punchbowl, earthenware, date of manufacture 1870.
