Painted with a scene from 'Elisie La Bergere sur le Trone'.
Production
Painting formerly attributed to Johann Schölhammer and dated ca. 1755. Painted by Andreas Philip Oetner after an engraving by J.E. Nilson of "Elisie or the shepherd raised to the throne" - a pastoral play of Prof. JC Gottsched, 'Deutscher Schaubühne' (German stage) series, Leipzig, 1746.
