Coffee pot and cover with floral decoration circa 1800-1820 hard-paste porcelain with tin-glaze painted in purple h 24,1 cm no mark inv. C.618&A-1922 gift: Lt. Col. K. Dingwall, DSO through The Art Fund Coffee pot with a cover decorated with little flowers in purple and a wavy ribbon. The coffee pot is part of a type of porcelain produced more specifically for everyday use. The simplification of the shape of the handle and the pouring spout suggest a date around the first quarter of the 19th century. For a similar coffee pot of the same era, see LIVERANI 1967, plate XCI. L.F.M. Bibliography: unpublished
